These 50 x 40cm absorbent pads are the workhorse of any spill response programme - quick to grab, quick to use, and sized to soak up everyday drips and spills before they spread.
Each pad is built from a low-lint spunbond polypropylene coverstock bonded to a high-loft meltblown polypropylene core, so it holds together under repeated wiping while doing the actual absorbing. Heavy Weight pads use a denser core for higher capacity and a longer working life, making them better suited to larger spills or messier environments. Light Weight pads use a thinner core at a lower cost, ideal for routine wiping and lighter-duty tasks where a full heavy pad isn't needed.
All three absorbency types are available in both weights. Oil Only pads are hydrophobic, repelling water while soaking up oils and fuels, so they perform well outdoors or on wet floors. Maintenance pads handle general workshop fluids including oils, coolants and water-based liquids. Chemical pads, colour-coded yellow, are built to resist and retain aggressive acids, alkalis and unknown substances.
Perforated for easy tear-off, and supplied 100 to a pack for busy sites that get through pads quickly. Suited to workshops, garages, warehouses, construction plant yards, and anywhere general spill wipe-up is a daily task.

1. Can absorbent pads be reused?
Only if not fully saturated - a pad can be turned over and used on its dry side, but once soaked through it should be disposed of as contaminated waste.
2. What's the difference between Heavy Weight and Light Weight?
Both are the same 50 x 40cm size - the difference is core density and absorbency capacity, not surface area. Heavy Weight holds more liquid and suits larger or more frequent spills; Light Weight is a lower-cost option for lighter, everyday use.
3. How many pads do I need to cover a spill?
As a rough guide, allow one Light Weight pad per 0.2 square metres of light coverage, and fewer Heavy Weight pads for the same area since each holds more liquid - actual usage depends on the volume and viscosity of the liquid spilled.
4. Can used pads go in general waste?
No - once used, pads are typically classified as hazardous or contaminated waste depending on what they've absorbed, and should be disposed of via a licensed waste carrier.
5. Which absorbency type should I choose?
Choose Oil Only for fuels and oils where water may also be present, Maintenance for general workshop fluids, and Chemical for acids, alkalis or unknown substances.
