Unlike laminated polyurethane covers, this mat is a single-material sheet of solid neoprene rubber, giving it a firmer, more rigid feel underfoot and good resistance to crushing under repeated foot traffic. It resists oils, fuels and many industrial chemicals, and is quick to deploy over a gully or grating in an emergency - many sites pair it with sealing granules along the edges for extra grip and containment.

Beyond drain protection, the same 90 x 90cm mat works well as a general floor mat under leaking equipment, pumps or machinery, catching drips before they reach the floor.
