This general-purpose protective polythene sheeting is a versatile, heavy-duty covering for construction, decorating and landscaping work. At 500 gauge (125 micron) it is substantially tougher than light dust-sheet polythene, making it ideal for protecting floors, worktops and finished surfaces from dust, debris, paint and general mess during a job, as well as for temporary weather covering and light damp proofing.
Supplied on a 4m x 25m roll (100m² of coverage, around 10kg), it rolls out quickly and cuts to size with a knife or scissors, so you can cover large areas or cut smaller pieces as needed. It is equally useful around the garden and on site for covering materials, lining and short-term protection tasks.
Important: this is a general-purpose protective and temporary-covering polythene, not a structural damp-proof membrane. If you need a DPM to go under a concrete slab or floor to meet building regulations, choose a 1000 or 1200 gauge (300 micron) BBA-certified membrane instead.

No. This is general-purpose 500 gauge protective polythene. For a structural under-slab DPM that meets building regulations, use a 1000 or 1200 gauge BBA-certified membrane.
