Once a spill has been cleaned up, the used pads, socks or granules still need to go somewhere safe - these heavy-duty disposal bags are built for exactly that job.

Each bag is made from a reinforced 200 gauge polyethylene film, considerably thicker and more puncture and tear-resistant than a standard bin liner, so it holds up to sharp or heavy contaminated material during handling and transport. Blue in colour and typically printed with a hazardous waste warning, the bags are sized at 46 x 90cm - roughly 60 litre capacity - to comfortably hold a full load of saturated absorbents from a spill kit clean-up.

Supplied 250 to a pack for sites that get through disposal bags regularly. Always check with your licensed waste carrier on any specific labelling or handling requirements for the type of contaminated waste you're bagging.

Suited to any workplace running spill response, general contaminated waste handling, or COSHH-related clean-up work.

1. What does "200 gauge" mean?

Gauge is a measure of film thickness - 200 gauge indicates a thicker, more puncture and tear-resistant bag than a standard bin liner.

2. Are these bags certified for hazardous waste transport?

They're built to safely contain solids and absorbed liquid for handling, but you should confirm with your licensed waste carrier whether any specific certification or labelling is required for your particular waste stream.

3. Can these bags go in general waste?

No - once filled with contaminated material, the bags should be collected by a licensed hazardous or contaminated waste carrier, not put in general refuse.

4. Are the bags reusable?

No, these are single-use bags intended to be sealed and disposed of along with their contents.

5. How many bags will I need for a spill kit clean-up?

This depends on the size of the spill and the kit used, but one bag typically holds a full load of saturated pads and socks from a small to mid-sized kit.
